@sinduda If you got that joke, you're a real geek =)

This is totally wrong. You put way too much pressure on the joint in the first turn. It won't last...
-
why so tight my friend? xD

I guess this should solve your problems: support.apple.com/kb/HT1630

@applerules100 i think what darkma1ice is trying to say is when you look at almost any other power cord or cable, they have this thing at the very end of the cord that does not allow the cord to bend at a certain angle.......its to prevent the wire casing from breaking, which would be a fire hazard (sparks shoot out if the metal wire is not covered)=very BAD!
-
@darkma1ice my macbook charger has that rubber cap to hold the cable in place...
-
Wow, you're dumb. You're never supposed to wrap a cable forcefully. You're supposed to let it coil up like it was in manufacturing then slip into a slim back.
Of course, everyone has trouble with the cables because unlike every. other. cable. company. Apply decided to NOT put extra rubber caps at the end, seriously go look at any friggin cord you have, notice off the 2 metal pegs there is a pyramid shaped rubber piece? Yeah, functional and practical are some things apply forgot about.

Wow, This is unbelievably abusive. No wonder people complain about frayed cables! Think before you start winding as tight as you can. Leave a little room at the connections for the wire to gently curve.

Don't say Proper. Tha's is exactly the wrong way.
Why ppl talk about things that don't know in all?
that is not the proper way...that method bends the cable and can create sparks.

its true.. search around on youtube, that rubber part of the input for the AC cable breaks down over time and will spark.

I think as long as you wrap it loosely there will be no problems. I'm sure wrapping it tightly (especially the first wrap) and tugging at the connection into the brick would cause problems after time.
thanks
