The Elephant in the Room: Eating Disorders in the modeling industry.
Many young girls look up to the unattainable image of the fashion model and struggle to look just like them. For some, this causes eating disorders and depression when they can't obtain that look. What many don't know is that these pictures are photo shopped so much that even the models don't look like their own pictures. As a result, many models develop eating disorders of their own, trying to live up to the doctored images of themselves and their peers. In this episode, we speak to Jessie Yang, a Toronto based model, who suffered bulimia as a result of jealousy from her peers and pressure from the industry.
