Thing to hold your work = clamp/vise.
BTW, it looks smaller than the HF model.

Optional base he called it. Yes, there is a table, but it's an add-on piece as most will use it for horizontal cutting.

So in verticle mode there is no table to rest the stock on during a cut? That stinks.
