Continued: They just want to chalk up 9/11 as a bad day at the office and get on with watching American Idol. General Petraeus did not tell the Dems what they wanted to hear, but told them instead, what they needed to, whether they liked it or not.
Continued: What it amounted to was an American Commander trying to explain the obvious success and progress being made in Iraq, to a bunch of feckless defeatist morons who want to impress like-minded constituents, including the Al Qaeda. Bin Laden wants us to "bring them home" too. I've yet to hear any of these anti-war pukes say just what kind of a war they'd be willing to fight, other than one against their own country.
One of the most memorable moments of stupidity from the Democratic inquistion was when Sen. Carl Levin referred to General Petraeus as "Admiral" . Levin's acrid-laced questioning was boorish and blatant grand-standing. Pinhead Levin would ask a question, then deliberately cut Petreaus off during the answer. Teddy Kennedy's treatment of Ambassador Crocker wasn't much better. Obama and the Hildabeast had to put in their two pithy cents.
Uh, these were the benchmarks that Bush not only agreed to but was trumpeting about!
