Have exactly the same problem on a 2003 Mazda 6. I will start with the motor mounts .... and then see if it fixed the problem.

you should check on the transmission mount also, cuz that fixed my vibration when i put it in drive. I had dealer check mine they checked all engine mounts then transmission mounts and they said the transmission mount was terrible thats why it vibrates when u put it in drive then when u put it in neautral it disappears so yeah check the transmission mount

did you ever get it fixed? because i got same problem on 2008 mazda6 2.3L i had my transmission mount replaced but vibration is still there when im idling at stop light. If you have it fixed, it would be awesome if you could tell us what u did

did you solved the problem?
mine is a 2.0 but i got the same problem with vibrations.
It even makes resonance with the whole dash inside the car, making lots of noise at low revs.
