  • @soundmachine6 Yes, it is, depending of the angle you shoot some bullets ricochets hiting ground and rocks. Some bullets ricochets doing aleatory curves too, it's amazing to see.. I tell you this for experience, cause have spented at night 30 tracing rounds using a FAL 7.62 in the army. Cya!

  • @NCisfullofhicks you cant see the armor piercing rounds bouncing off anything as they are invisible to us in this video and in real life . all you can see are the tracer rounds which are designed differently and will nearly always bounce.

  • So they penetrate armor but bounce off the dirt?

  • It's really logical if you think about it. Bullet's head is "round" so if it hits in a shallow angle it won't stop. Same thing happens with tank armor. Certain angle "bounces" rounds off.

    The HIND used here isn't player controlled any more than the Vulcan in the ballistics demonstration was player controlled, this is a scenario made to demonstrate the ricochet modeling.

  • They say that the only vehicle you can use is the KA-50... so how can you use the hind?

  • Well ive never seen AP bullets in real so I believe you XD And there is no reason to not believe it because DCS is 100% realistic (well not 100% maybe but at least 90%XD)
