Short movie of these fascinating upside down swimming crustaceans in a rather artificial aquarium setting. The specimens originate from a pond near Utsjoki in Finnish lapland, august 2008.The tall one is about 4 cm.

Great clip! It's tough to tell how large they (or the tank) are but this seems like a species related to the "Beavertail" fairy shrimps. Nice upload!

Interesting, they are a very different shape from any others ive seen. Are they common in Finland? and what kind of temperature do they live at?

Some scale? I get the impression they are much larger than the american species.
also, is that an egg sack on the longer one?
