I apologize for ranting, but in no way do I think Franken has represented the best interests of America and it bothers me that people think that he is a hero because he is so great at being a jerk.

Ultimately, the DoD acquisition process is hurt, taxpayers pay more for less, and American businesses are weaker. All so Franken can look like he defended this girl from the big bad wolf that is corporate America.

Because of this, the DoD cannot hire companies that require mandatory arbitration in contracts. Arbitration is a legal, practical, and effective alternative that protects companies from situations like this. Now government contracts will not be equally competed. Companies that could have provided what we need with better quality work at a lower price will not be able to do so because Franken has used this extremely unique (and false) case to triumph his amendment.

Evidence implicates that this girl at the vary least, fabricated portions of her story, and sought trial by jury in an attempt for these false claims to be vindicated. Franken has made it easier for this to happen because he wants to use this media attention to promote his political career.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Council investigated the issue and concluded she was not imprisoned by KBR, a claim that she did not even bring up until two years after it occurred. Her story has changed so many times that her credibility has been proven to be dubious, including statements she made about how much she drank, how she was hurt, and what happened to her.

Franken has used this case to shamelessly self-promote himself. He is not interested in facts, no argument is made here. This is an exhibition Al Franken puts on in an attempt to depict himself as a champion of liberal political issues.

In regards to Jones...

A jury ruled in Federal courts that there is no evidence a crime was committed in Jones' case. All the facts Franken presents were dismissed or disproven in Jamie Leigh Jones's trial.
