60g tank filled about 3/4 way up with 2 yellowbelly girls and one RES. Filtered by a Fluval 205 canister filter and a Reptofilter. School of rosey minnows and a few feeder goldfish in there too along with a large bristlenose plecostomus for algae. 2 Basking platforms, UVA/heating bulb on the left, UVB bulb on the right. The turtles are happy :)

  • when i bought my red eared slider the pet shop owner had it in a tank with about 3 or 4 inches of water but on youtube all you guys have like 50 gallons on yours what should i do i dont want my turtle to drown =(

  • these aquatic turtles sleep in the water...they like water to swim in. the more room the better. They also need powerful filters to help keep their water clean

  • what kind of plants are in the tank

  • they are plastic plants. the turtles dig a lot so I'm sure they'll screw up live plants.

  • hey how long does it keep ur tank clean the fluval 205?

  • DOODE I LOVE YOU! no one would answer me if i could keep to yellow bellied turtles in a 60 gallon but apperantly i can. they can be in there they're whole lives, right?

  • i wish whenever i got my turtless feeders they wouldn't kill them all but only kill what they would eat. they killed 30 rosies in one night and only ate like 10!

  • @SurferX7193 they wont drown, a turtle is born to swim

  • Are ur plants real? And wat fishes do keep with the turtles?

  • You've probably already heard this but your gonna need at least a Fluval 405. 305 will work. i have one myself for my 40gal, but that's if you like cleaning canister filters. And who does. Look into buying/making a wet dry trickle filter. Way less maintenance and you can get some real biological filtration going on. I'm making mine this summer when i do my final 150 gal tank upgrade.

  • @TheArcheryHunter

I didn't. They were given away to a friend.

  • @benz1125 I hope you didn't do that??? Most pet stores will take them.

  • @SurferX7193 They're actually more likely to flip over and not be able to get back up (and then drown) in shallow water. Their water should be at least 2 inches higher than the length of their shell so if they become flipped, they can easily swim around and right themselves.

  • hey does anyone know if i can keep a turtle tank in my room without having to refresh the water? i'm planning to use a strong filter
