The Culture and Language Academy of Success uses the metaphor of "playing in a game" when it prepares for the standardized tests. This music video is used to encourage students to use tips, plays and strategies when taking the "high stakes" exam. The "Big Game Rap" was written by Crescent McGlome and the video features students from her fifth grade drama class.

  • With all do respect miss the big game song is more than just raps and dancing its a very fun and creative way to express our culture and knowledge as successful african americans. I have been apart of these songs and produced one of them with my musical talent i have learned through participating in this..and it helps you grasp other skills and attributes you never knew you had also it is the total opposite of a stereo type this is just one of many talents our black students have to share

  • @kingjaredh1 A proper use of punctuation signs would probably help me understand what you're saying much better, thank you.

  • @em2coo4u Did you read my comment or just interpret what you wanted? Please tell me in what line you can read a complaint about using music or singing in class.

  • a better understanding on the subjects s/he is struggling on. rapps are very great for the mind of a child because the information sticks to the brain no matter what. so if you dont agree with one of our ways of learning than thats you but it really works so instead of being mad ... get glad because itz not like we are not gaining the knowledge we need in order 2 succeed
