Thollem Mcdonas and Germaul Barnes will be embarking on a European tour June, 2008. Through exploratory piano music and contemporary dance they create a sensual and enchanting theater experience. Drawing on sources from many parts of the globe and throughout time they expose their world of conflict, harmony, revolt, beauty and personal identity by interweaving music and dance. This performance leads audiences through a powerful combination of knowledge, skills, and passion. Both artists were born in the Western part of the United States; one from Irish/Cherokee descent and the other from African-American/Navaho descent. Mr. Mcdonas is a pianist/ composer/improviser, and a recipient of the 2006 National Endowment of the Arts Meet The Composer grant. Mr. Barnes is a dancer/ choreographer/ artistic director of Viewsic Expressions- former dancer with the Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company and a Bessie Award winner.
