I agree one most be-careful. It's my understanding this has been going on for years and years before me. That the fisherman use to feed them. Now the tourist bring frozen squid and they suck it off the hand. At least the times I have been there, that's how they ate. Never heard of any injuries, just remember you are in there playground and you will be alright. That's for the video.

ive been to stingray city numerous times with my family, and all i have to say is definitely do this is you are going to the cayman islands! they are the friendliest creatures, but everyone thinks wrong of them because of the steve irwin thing. they even have one named frisbee who doesnt have a tail with its stingers!

@Billabongisraddd are you mentally ill? steve was killed by a sting ray you delusional idiot!! yeah go messing with the sting rays and find out the hard way then...

the barb of a stingray's tail is like a serrated knife and could easily impale a person.. a person who is stung is more likely to suffer from perforation of arteries or blood vessels. a little wake up call for you delusional people being overly fascinated by these sting rays. steve erwin (the crocodile hunter) got killed by a sting ray. if it can happen to him then it can happen to anybody

They have stingers. They started coming around to this sand bar when fishermen started cleaning fish in the area - then throw the scraps overboard.
They're pretty harmless. I think the stingers do have something in them that causes pain (other than the bony barbs). But everybody jumped in, had fun, and no one was hurt.
And the critters got fed. :-)

I used a common Cannon digital camera with an Aquapac bag. Very good!
