  • ya mommy hamsters never leave any babies behind, unless they have a deformity or die on their own due to a deformity, but normaly the mother will eat the dead baby(s). My hamster, Pepper, had babies on the 14th and she only ate one but only because we weren't giving her enough protein. Never again will she lack protein! lol i give her a little bit of cheese every dy and some bread dipped in milk (skim). The 10 healthy babies furs is showing patterns! WAHOO! hamster babies rock!

  • Why did you find out that she had babies only a week later? Didnt you feed her every day? Or you only feed her once a week?

  • this happend to me before i just found out my hamster had babys(by the time i found out they were 1 week)a baby hamster got out and the mom didnt notice i just let them alone and the baby crawled back in(all by herself!)

  • Hey u from hillgrove sec? my bro in dat skul 3e3

  • thats my hamster! but all the baby hamster died. actually i got 8 but all died.so sad

  • This is what I did when 1 baby was abandoned on 1 corner of the tank. I took the plastic food bowl and gently picked up the baby with it so I wouldn't get my scent on the baby. I moved it over with the others and the mama thought nothing of it. Always be careful during the pink stage not to put your scent on any baby.
