@nicechewi Australia lags way behind most countries in funding medical research. More money is worth it because it saves money - 4x in fact. Dollars spent here reduce future health costs, keep good scientists (that the taxpayer supported through uni) to stay in Oz.
Plenty of other fat in the government budget to be trimmed.

lol at the opposition leader at the end. the protest is so we can maintain the funding. not increase. increasing it would be just as bad. at the end of the day, the money has to come from somewhere.

@cyclingmerlin Heh heh :-) The only police present were a couple of bicycle police sheltering from the rain in the undercover area on the Edward St side of the square.
It was the best behaved protect I've been to!
