Hallelujah originally by Leonard Cohen

"Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain
I don't even know the name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light
In every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though
It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Regardless of who can make a "better" version of this song, you can never get any better than the original, the person that spent the effort and pored their heart out into writing the song. The original is a lot more meaningful and although other artists may of done better vocals, vocals isn't what it's about. It's about the songs being meaningful and with artists that copied it, you can't feel the meaning how meaningful it is, but the original, it's magical

the answer is: David the king. if you read the lyrics you find the name.

Halleyouah in hebrew is" Halellu "is (Praise) yah is the Lord the God.

    Hallelouyah-Praise the Lord the God.

David the King wrote many songs more then any other King .

Creativity like this is rare in a world that falls in love with mediocrity more each day.

    I think it's about both. But that's just 1 fan's opinion. Damn it's beautiful.

You should give yourselves the pure joy of watching him perform this live.

    As the kids say

    "Wow. He`s well proper good"

As grown ups say " A truly magical, ethereal experience to behold"

That's the same thing isn`t it ? LOL

So you don't like his voice, no need to mock though, it's not classy. Anywho, I'm curious as to what you mean by "doesn't seem to know how it sounds." I can't seem to wrap my head around what you mean. I read the post you were responding to for context and I am at a loss. Care to fill me in?
