thats why jesus didnt revolt against the roman rule like some of the religious jews of the time wanted. he fulfilled the law and the prophets and wanted us to pay taxes to caesar. if you do good, you have no reason to fear the sword of the rulers, is basically what the book says.
the bible also states that the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword,

@TheArguel Didn't Jesus say he didn't come to conquer Rome, but to conquer men's hearts? I think he indicated he was not interested in governance, but in enlightening others to a better way of thinking that didn't involve sticking sharp things into people and vilifying benevolence.
