Shawn is asking others, "Have you ever wanted..." meaning have you ever wanted to be closer to God. In the first place, why were you not close to me. And I now understand that the today's world is teaching the youth about Atheism and Scientology. Once they get into these other religions they wish they were closer to me.

I always wanted to be someone else growing up. Each time I was beaten or verbaly abused as a child, I wanted God to take me home. As I got older I just wanted to hide from him. So I left home and everyone I ever knew. But God followed me. No matter how far I went to hide, He followed me. All I ever wanted was love. Only through him did I find it.
