  • @purnomor I think people around the world need to sit down - alone and in organized discussions - and really reconsider the meaning of the word progress. To many,Indonesia might look as though it's come a long way and is really progressing.Big buildings and bridges, etc. But what's progress? Is it progress that its forest is being lost faster than anywhere on Earth? Is it progress that Islam is supplanting all INDIGENOUS beliefs and cultures?I think Indonesia has recently lost more than it's gained.

  • @jafrocubic2 I disagree. The education is raising, like the average living standard. Indonesia has very huge national parks, more political stability then ever, and it slowly grows together. Less people fighting for survival, but begin to live. Education is the key, combined with reformations. 90% are moslems. I can see an islamification, but you don't have to be islamophobic. Moslems, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and other religions exist next to each other here. They have to..

  • @purnomor you wouldnt be were you are today without your dutch occupied past. you can hardly call the dutch imperial era as primitive, they modernised you quite a lot really didnt they. a better word than primitive might be barbaric :P be glad the dutch came and not UK we wouldnt have given up so easily ;)

  • yeah, they turned free and happy people of indonesia who once lived in thier paradise like islands into their depressed soldiers/slaves who would help them to win their fight against japanese growing domination in the far east and southeast asia. now go and take a look at indonesia today... nothing but poverty, over population, crimes, diseases, and modern industries that brough evil in their once paradise like islands. is this what they mean by "democracy"?

  • Is Dutch ppl were happy colonized by Spain, France and then Nazi German? lol just compare that

  • Correct. Live was good when Indonesia was colonialized... For the Dutch! This video is indeed very nice, everything is pretty and lovely, but we all know what happened with every colonialism. See other old videos & you'll see. Native were 2nd, no, 3rd class citizens. Slaves, mere tools for the condescending Europeans.

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • Look at 06:5008:45...

Clearly, westernization is another way of slavery.. Its a way to ensure people of the third world country to live their life serving the needs of the western world in order to preserve their way of life.. While they themselves living their life in poverty, watching their own resources are being plundered from their backyards by people who are saying "we will improve your living condition by doing our way"...

  • Many parts of Indonesia are still nice, but not Jakarta, full of fucked up people in the Capital

go to other parts of Indonesia, they are still nice
