  • Third, I dislike the way you make Chinese soldiers seem evil with their deeds of massacre. No powerful nation goes around massacre-ing villagers. I mean, sure, occasionally things like that do happen (the USA is even guilty of it in the Middle East) but you made it seem like that the PLA's job is to kill innocent people.

But nonetheless, this is an interesting series and, well, keep up the good work, I suppose...

  • Secondly, I wish you guys had put the effort of researching the Vietnamese language into researching the Chinese language, because the insance where the soldier says, "Nihao?" was utterly fake and had me facepalming. "Ni hao" is basically like saying "hi," not "hello." You wouldn't say "Hi?" when calling out to see if someone is there.

  • I can't wait to read Edge of War, but I have to complain about a few things (assuming that I'm typing to the real Jim DeFelice).

First off, the Chinese characters' names are fake as hell (excuse my language) and made the whole story seem cartoonish, especially the name "Lai Wi." "Wi" is not a real Chinese name (while the other names could arguably SOUND Chinese).
