Despite the enhanced availability of medical facilities, home-births remain common in many Kenyan homes. Traditional birth attendants remain an integral part of bringing forth new life, and equipping them with necessary skills is vital if we are to bring down maternal mortality rates. In the vast Magadi division of Kajiado, one woman has made it her responsibility to take such knowledge to women. And as NTV's Rose Wangui found out, what Rose Kironua Nchilalo does, is a calling.
African beauty Geneva...its a beauty accesory, my grandma has the hole too. The larger it is the more beautiful you are ;-)

There is nothing wrong with her ears. It's traditional that they have their ears as show in the video.

While not belittling the lady's efforts why do Kenyans including my local community here settle for third rate medical care? So if Lady Nchilalo has her own private bizness to handle what happens to her 'clients'...people raise the bar!

Magadi Soda Hospital supported by a private company is a very very rare facility in all EA...the equipment and health services provided inside are top notch! For God's sake allow the locals access...compassion!
