We always have chili and cinnamon roles for Christmas Eve. Here is one way to make chili. The flavors are subtle and the chili can be enjoyed by all ages.

  • Wow, chili and cinnamon rolls brings back memories. Grew up in Ft Dodge, and I LIVED for the chili/cinnamon roll days. Tried to play the allergies thing to get chocolate milk every day but that got squashed quick. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  • @kidiowa LOL! Did you go to St. Eds or Senior High?

  • @averageiowaguy

    St. Eds, graduated in 1990

  • @kidiowa The really good thing at St. Eds was in the days after the Holy Rosary spaghetti feed, they would bring the leftovers for lunch. St. Eds always did spaghetti with Texas Toast really well.

  • Just made your recipe for chili with a southwestern twist of adding in Chipolte Chili pepper! Awesome thanks for posting your recipe! Have a Happy New Year!

  • @ducatisti999 Thanks! Hope it was tasty! Happy new year to you and thanks for watching!

  • @BladeReviewscom Thanks a ton for watching! Every place I've been does chili just a little different. Cincinnati had one of the more unusual with the inclusion of spaghetti noodles.

  • I like your style man. It's a rather eccentric way of making chili but I appreciate the nuances. Cinnamon rolls are a nice touch. It's kinda like pea soup and waffles.

  • @digitizer101 Yeah the chili/cinnamon roll thing started in the public schools in northwest Iowa. On Fridays you either got tacos with cinnamon rolls or chili with cinnamon rolls. The rolls were made right in the schools typically and were delicious. Add to the combo two other very positive things - it was Friday and it was the only day of the week where chocolate milk was served - and you've got very powerful comfort food.

  • @crowdog1045 Merry Christmas to you too!

    Thanks for watching.
