Ok. You people are following along right? You understand the characters and circumstances with the world they live in right? Good. If not back track now. You need to understand why the main character is about to well...find out for yourself...lol.
Music Notes: Coming up with the proper themes here took a little time. I swear music talks to me or something. You have to know when to shift to flashbacking, sadness, heroism, and detailed explanations at their appropriate times.
Developer Notes: About the spar. Yes I know there are illogic factors in it a bit. But look at the fight from the ratio of the perspective of hitpoints. The main character is actually doing less damage because Amy has like 7000 hitpoints. The main character has only a tenth of that. It takes only 3-4 shots and its hasta la vista. I did a lot of tweaking and trying to keep the reality of the aspects of the characters in check. Also I'm too lazy to insert my own status effect of "trance" its function is just like blink of final fantasy. Which is already preset in the game's database as "blink". It raises evasion. Amy is designed to be a fighter of strength and endurance. A typical martial artist if you must say. The Main character is a hyperactive speed demon that must strike in multiple areas because each one of his attacks is too weak to do damage alone. So he has to chain multiple hits. This is the "science" of how they fight and hence the psycho animation I designed. Finally this "trance" is not a rip off of final fantasy 9. This is a mental trance like a stare of some kind. Ever noticed that when you stare things feel as if they slow down a bit? Hint: science fiction. It's such a cool tool.
Story Development: The main character is now a warrior and can defend himself. Not to mention has rid himself of his flaw. Amy no longer has the role of mentor but still somewhat functions as one in the background but as for her teaching anything critical to the main character there's no need. The story sounds like it ends here. Well it doesn't. This all could've been used as a flashback of some kind from a different perspective of the story because it all focused on the main character and how he became to be the person he is now. There's still the messed up world he and his girlfriend live in and due to their nature are driven to do something about it. But they will be getting a little help before they start making plans.
Miscellanous stuff:
Just some opinions:
FF 9 "A place to call home" = BEST TITLE THEME EVER
FF tactics "game over" = MOST MISERABLE AND SADDEST THEME EVER. And I had the misfortune to hear it like +60 times thanks to garfgarion and argus. Those assholes...
FF 4 Prologue = MOST HEROIC THEME EVER. But why did Nobuo set it up for a prologue theme for the GBA remake? It was already in the right place with respect to the fight right before zeromus. That's what drove me to use it here.
sorry about 6:16.
my finger twitched.
