Phoenix police in riot gear clashed with Occupy Phoenix protesters near the Westin Kierland Resort, where members of ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, were meeting. Protestors claim the group is a front for large corporations used to influence politicians. Cronkite News reporter Lauren Titus witnessed the fight.
Why the fuck are police pepper spraying unarmed peaceful protesters? The people pepper sprayed should sue the police department for police brutality when they were just exercising their constitutional rights!

1:33 bullshit. I saw it happen. The police attempted to lift their barricades over the heads of protesters so they could charge them with "crossing a police line" (the police line actually crossed them). When the black bloc refused to make an unlawful arrest easy by shoving back on the barricades, the police maced the whole fucking crowd. I treated 5 people plus myself for chemical weapon exposure (food product, my ass) who were not attempting to push on police.

ALEC--the group that ghostwrites "model" legislation designed to continue the government's heinous socialism and continue to provide unearned handouts to the rich and to corporations by taxing the middle class back into mulberry street type slums
