The Belt was replaced about 4 times. Water pump, alternator, idler pulley, belt tensioner pulley all replaced. Not sure where the sound is coming from. The AC compressor is no making any abnormal noises so the only thing left is the drive pulley and power steering pump. i dont think its either of theses. Any help please?

Has anyone figured out the cause of the squeak? I have a 97 plymouth grandvoyager that started making this terrible sound. I replaced the belt, tensioner, and alternator and the sound is still there.

@Houston8888 Update to my post: After replacing the tensioner as stated originally, the noise returned after a couple days. The squeak/squeal/chirp sounds very similar to this video but not as bad.
azdanielducati1, my tensioner also is out of alignment even after replacing and everything is bolted in place as it should be. I can't find a solution and can't find anyone else who can either. I've read about a lot of problems with this van where the belt comes off it the vehicle drives in water

Its the belt tensioner....just look down and all the pulleys should be aligned the same.....just by seeing your video you can see the belt tensioner is crooked and its causing the belt to angle against the other pulleys which makes that winny noise...easy fix....one bolt behind the belt tensioner to remove it.......

Did you get this fixed? I recently purchased the same van and the alternator and water pump needed new bearings but they didn't squeal - they rattled. After having those repaired and a new belt installed, the chirping and squealing started for seemingly no reason. After replacing the belt AGAIN, I decided to try something else. The tensioner seemed ok but I replaced it with a new Gates tensioner that has a plastic roller instead of the steel and also replaced the belt AGAIN. It's now quiet.

I have a 99 Town and Country and mine does the same thing, my husband had a dodge caravan and his did the same thing, my husband says it is some sort of balancer.

I had the same problem. Same noise like that. For me, it was the harmonic balancer.

Hey, I also seem to have the same problem with my Nissan Sentra 2000 model. I too changed the idler pully, alternator last winter. But now the winter is almost here and the car started the symptoms again. I hope you fixed it. Can you give me your update on this? I see some places say camshaft sensor problem?
