@iw3ioj - OK I can understand that for 446 but 11m is a bit more problematic due to the lower wave length. I think that trying to do 11m full duplex with same freq or split freq configuration is going to be an experiment into futility. Desensing the receiver should turn out to be a real nightmare. That's why split-site is usually less troublesome IMO. I'm not saying it can't be done. I'm just saying the hardware and elbow-grease (i.e. work) doesn't seem to me to be worth it.

@CBKillas - I understand that. However, I was talking about using DSP or filters for PSK-32 reception not CB repeaters.

@SPOOKYSR cavity filter used for pmrv 446MHZ radio. in 11 mt is necessary use some notch filter made by coaxial cable.

@CBKillas - Isn't that where Nikola Tesla did his radio-esque experiments? :)
You really don't need that Texas footwarmer - extreme overkill. At that elevation you have very good L.O.S. (line of sight) communications and groundwave (at night). You are not actually doing "skip" per se. If you design and make a portable 11m Yagi Uda antenna, you could really increase range for transmit and receive (legally). See antenna-freeservers-com
See DX coms over large bodies of water & off water towers.

@CBKillas - But you can do 12 watts P.E.P. on CB radio *legally* - IF - it's on Single Side Band. With a good mobile antenna in center of your mobile's roof you can work plenty of DX. Couple that with a Radio Shack DSP-40 unit and a good ARRL mini-muf program you can PINPOINT (by time) what part of the USA or world to work DX. You can use the ionosphere as your repeater (sort of). Trucker's call it "skip". "Footwarmers" (illegal RF AMPS) are so unnecessary and a huge nuisance to other CB'ers.

@CBKillas - Stay away from GMRS! Stick with FRS. GMRS has too many angry business persons paying for FCC licences and will go all postal on a pirate station interfering on their channel (i.e. will call FCC immediately). FRS is more forgiving but I have heard of FCC field audits on FRS pirates too. Depends on who you piss off first. You can't piss anybody off with FHSS technology. FHSS has NO RF-carrier on same frequency long enuf' to piss anybody off. ANd their only $18 bucks!

@CBKillas - You'd be surprised what you could do with a LED (or pre-existing light source) and a CdS cell (& alligator clips) when your in Quick and Dirty mode. Opto-isolated switching? But to do it right use discrete components and soldering. :)
@CBKillas - Look into PSK-32 transmissions. It's pure audio but you can multiplex several separate and simultaneous QSO's within the same channel. There is free transceiver software out there too. All you need is a sound card in your PC/Laptop. PSK-32 is interference resistant and good for DX. CB radio is a very interference (QRM) rich environment. PSK is amazing within the hodgepodge of signals.A DSP (digital signal processor) wouldn't hurt either (i.e.see R/S DSP-40)

@Spookysr gtried PSK. It's ok. I like good ole phone. Just like the good ole days. And, Satellite is good fun. Take care, and enjoy the hobby! 73's.

@CBKillas - I was impressed on how it can be used in a CB radio cluttered channel STILL be readable. I wanted to do some sort of remote control scenario with it. Also a Voice to Text (Speech Recog) and Text to Voice(TTS) scenario using PSK as the radio carrier comm is an interesting idea. 73's

@Spookysr It is NOT necessary to use any filters what so ever For Full CB or Crossband repeater. I have NEVER use any filtering, and always exceptional results.
