CNBC's David Faber on being a journalist and picking up the phone.

Faber was the keynote speaker at the New York Press Club Conference. He answered questions afterwards, as well as signed copies of his new book, "And Then the Roof Caved In: How Wall Street Greed and Stupidity Brought Capitalism to Its Knees."

Here he speaks with Heather Kovar via her iphone for the NYPC blog. He is talking about the importance of using the phone to do research and garner contacts. He had mentioned the importance of picking up the phone in his speech.
