Have had a good few e-mails asking for more videos, So I shall start with this one from 2009, Which consists of 3, 84 Class at Whitehead, 8456-Gosford Castle, Pulling failed 8451 Belfast Castle back to Belfast & 8454 Carrick Castle waiting to continue her journey towards Larne.

@Martin98Baumann Ah fair enough I never saw them in multiple before and I don't think I ever saw a Class 450 in it's original guise in real life; so it's nice to know some history about them :)

The 450s can't work in multiple now because at different times they were rewired so that no two sets are the same

The 450s used to work in multiple in 6 or 9 car sets though 3 was always the norm. You cannot haul a 450 with a 111 as the 450 has a fixed buckeye coupler while the GM has conventional coupling. Some 201 class locos have a fixed buckeye coupler it is a different height and not compatable with a 450. You can haul an 450 with an 80 but they have different brakes which means a 20mph limit. For these reasons it is always prefered to move a failed 450 using another 450

I never imagined another 450 pulling a failed 450. I thought a NIR Class 111 (Or class 071 as it's known down south) would have towed it away :)
It's not often you see two Class 450's together in a train since they never work in multiple; looking at this I think it would have been nice to have them employed in multiple :) I know it's only because one broke down but it's a nice image; cheers for the upload.
