Everyone is shocked and appalled by the news and images we're seeing from Japan. I spent 5 years there, and Japan was very good to me, so this is the least I can do to try and help out in some small way. Events of this magnitude just make us feel so small and impotent in the face of nature's destructive power. It is a testament to the culture and people of Japan that the situation has not deteriorated on a social level (looting etc). This song was written way before the recent events, but it seems kind of fitting, about friendship and Japanese pride in their culture and heritage, both of which they will greatly need in these dark days, but they are not alone.

If you wish to donate, the Red Cross seems to be the best way, as they will channel the funds directly to the Red Cross in Japan, where it is needed, and you can rest assured that none will be wasted. You can donate on your own country's Red Cross page,
