This quirky painting appeared around the same time I had recently read some writings attributed to Bodhidharma, hence it's name.
Legend has it that Bodhidharma cut his eyelids off so that he didn't fall asleep as he sat and meditated, staring at a cave wall for 9 years. Where he threw his eyelids, tea plants were supposed to grow, and I think that's supposed to have something to do with the Chinese love of tea. The bulging lidless eyes in this painting reminded me of his legend. I don't know what else they could be.
Anyhow, this is a nod to Bodhidharma and his surprise 'visit' to me. I hope you enjoy him. What do YOU see?

REMEMBER, what you are looking for isn't found here, or anywhere else you can look. It can only be found within. My highest hope is that what I can offer you will assist somehow in your recollection of what you already know. Bring it forward. It's already there.
