@fringescoundrel He is talking about Interpol's last few albums only (JK!) Anyone who's a Marr/Smiths fan knows that Johnny is an exceptional guitar player, equal in technical ability to players like Steve Vai, Van Halen, Yngwie etc. He is simply putting it out there that he is awesome AND he refuses to be status quo in his guitar style. My favorite guitarist no question!

fringescoundrel, he could be referring to 90% of groups that have two guitar players. No reason I see that Interpol might be singled out.

Is he referring to Interpol when he says 'wasted opportunity...two guitars'? I am huge Marr fan, and I think Interpol guitar playing is not as adventurous as Marr but they sound really good...
