Hi, my daughter has a seizure disorder and had a stage where she had the atonic (drop) seizures. Just glancing at this video I don't think these were drop seizures. He seems to be slowly lowering his head. A drop seizure causes the head to be thrown forward very quickly and they hit their head HARD. My daughter's head would fall so hard and so fast that she would have large red marks on her head from her walker.
what kind of seizures is your son having now?

How is he doing now? It looked like she was having spasms before. Is that what it ended up being?

My son does the exact same thing! What did you find out?

i noticed that you posted this in may of 2009. that is when my baby girl started doing hers. i was wondering if you had an EEG and if so what were the results?
My son has this, after 3 days of testing. He is now on Keppra and so far is doing well. 2 years he must take this med mixed with his cyclosporine that he takes for his cadaver liver from his transplant

@MikeyIssac hi, although nothing ever came of the head drops, my son is now on tegretol after being diagnosed with occipital lobe epilepsy. its one of the rarer forms of epilepsy. he was diagnosed about 2 months ago at age 2 and half. just makes me think now that the head drops were linked to epilepsy all along. all the best to your son xxxx
