holy shit, it doesn't matter what his heritage is. if you really wanna' know, look in a biography, his mother was rusyn (yes that's spelled right), and his father was welsh... but it's completely inconsequential. evans was the most intense jazz piano player ever to have existed. he was the chopin of jazz, and although his his life was shortened considerably by heroine and cocaine, his legacy reaches far, far further.

not too bad. Everything about bills life reflected in his playing, and if his life were any different his playing would be too. And his playing is perfect. His life was tragic, and his playing has a taste of that. Even the bouncy up tunes get you in a sad way, and that was because he sealed his fate with a needle.
