  • its not stupid I just had 3 people tell me its not stock when I took it on raceway and did 12.9 @ 107mph trap speed.

  • Assuming a USDM model, there is no way a STOCK 05 STi is going to trap 107 mph, ever. Most traps are around 101-103. Best stock trap I've ever seen was 104mph...and that is extremely rare.

I used to own an 05 STi btw.

  • Sorry I thaught it was stuck but dynod it and assuming its reflashed because i put out 275WHP and 301WTQ. No mods besides MBC and Drop-in K&N

  • @Kizza737 In this car, the only gear worth hitting 7k is 1st and 2nd, if from a stop. After that, shifting around 6200 (at stock power and tune) is where the turbo starts to fall off. There's no point running it higher than that, and peak boost hits around 3.5k, so you are not going to miss the powerband shifting there.

  • @STiRunner90 The 07 has a different diff and gearing, the 06 is the same as the 05 if I'm not mistaken. I own an 07.

  • vq motors dont pull harder they only have 190horses in years 95-98

  • Thought the 06-07s were faster as well as lighter, i dunno i'll have to look at it.

  • 04 05's are lighter. Better in my opinion. But i believe that 06 07 have different diffs. I also prefer the 04 05 look to the 06 07.

  • Dont know if its stock or not, but it sounds and accelerates like a stock one would.

  • ya im sure it is a stock sti.. my modded wrx pulls harder than that..

  • Whats the point in changing at peak power?

Its better to change at 7000, that way you are using the peak power, and when you shift up you will be back in the power band when you get back on the throttle.
