Wow. His brother is just suddenly alive? Talk about an Ass Pull.

@Maetel22 He succeeded to describe the mysterious, elusive female-ness whom no man can fully understand or analyze (let alone dominate) in this world, even if she is his wife. Those women are exceptionally beautiful-looking and internally extremely sacrificial, and purpose-oriented at the same time - which means they combat in ways men cannot. We had real great mothers. Human spirits are born-free and the world is full of wonders.

matsumoto's ideal woman = blonde w/brown eyes, long hair, rail-thin, super-wide hips. intelligent, badass personality with a dark side, but sweet and nice when the circumstances call for it. loyal, but not blind; conforting, but realistic. i love that kind of woman too.

LOL at 6:13, his name is sanada, that makes it easy to offend him "hey sanadda ...bitch" LOL
-
@pbanta62 ya, this is kinda pointless, I cant believe there are not more humanoids from Iscandar around space,.....well, If I was the human bro I would have fucked the brains out of that babe and see if I could procreate :D

Agree. USA sure tried to stop Hitler and was dragged into the war in other front lines; a little to do with oil supplies... that's rather a consequence, wasn't it?
-
Oh, of course I do. But my point is that it wasn't driven by the desire to stop dictators or save the Jews, but because dictator were either invading them, about to invade them, or taking over oil supplies. I do agree with you that the Allies behaved in a quite exemplary manner. That is something out of the ordinary in history and very moving.
-
@hugoestr; I hope you remember the simple facts Hitler invaded Europe and Japan attacked USA first.
This scene creates a bit of moral quandary for me--does one passively accept fate or fight to overcome it even at the cost of others' lives? We see the stark contrast in those idelologies with Iscandar and Gamilus, ironically twin worlds.
The moral of this story is neither give up nor be tyrannical in one's quest to survive, but find some kind of happy medium. Though the Yamato was forced to do catastrophic damage to Gamilus, they stopped fighting them when Gamilus stopped.

The producer's novel says, Starsha was crying from the agony of realization of losing Mamoru permanently since he sure was going home to Earth. After the departure of her beloved younger sister Sasha, it was Mamoru who gave Starsha strength to keep going. She whispers his name, "Mamoru..." Starsha looks out-of-the-world, but is beautifully fragile for the only man she loves. She was determined to return him to his people while staying back in a huge planet alone as the last Iscandarite alive.
