@ekundayowt there are indications for conservative surgery over salpingectomy...you can do salpingotomy instead in case of presence of only ONE tube (example : cong hypoplasia or aplasia of the other tube...) , also if the female is of low parity, and in mild cases where the tube seems healthy..

why not salpingectomy? tube already damaged anyways. increased risk of another tubal pregnancy
