It's also a common assumption that the problem is always with the apex seals, side seals and coolant seal can all fail too, not to mention all the other springs and seals in the engine. If you're still getting good compression and the car runs fine, there's no real reason to rebuild unless you race daily.
are you cunts stupid? to replace the apex seals the motor will be seperated. so youll find out if you can reuse the old seals or not. but no matter what your better off throwing in new seals / gaskets etc. youde be a poor bitch not to.
@vicxxoo I'm just saying, at the track when you don't want to complete a two work-day rebuild, you just pop the apex's, replace them, and keep racing. Take back home, tear down, rebuild.
@brapboys503 but if your going to change the seals why not do it right and change out all the gaskets and all the other seals? it wouldnt be very good if you rip apart the engine change the apex seals and then have your side seals or oil seals go out 5000 miles after the ghetto rebuild

@brapboys503 You cannot just pop out apex seals, you have to pull the engine and then pull the housings to even get to them.

@GeneralWiggin Like I said, a complete teardown-rebuild with new seals should take about two days, not including installation.
