I am down in Clearwater Florida for the Memorial Day holiday and I can't keep from noticing all of the properties that are for sale. Just on the street that my condo is located on, there are almost 30 single family houses or condos for sale. 30 properties for sale all on the same 1.8 mile long road. How do you make your property stand out in this market when you have competition coming at you from all sides? Be different. Don't do the same old thing, or allow your listing agent to just stick a sign in the front yard and hope that a buyer picks your house over the 29 others.

  • @DevBlazed you'd be suprised. Most of the owners paid so much for them that they'd lose money if anyone earning $80000 paid them the rent they could afford. That doesn't leave many people who can rent all these overpriced homes.

So the owners get in arrears, but the banks refuse to foreclose - preferring to make the owners pay HOA's and maintenance costs rather than having another property they can't sell

  • Renters paradise!!

  • Don't buy the forclosed homes, the bank are just trying to get rid of them for a reason.

  • My heart goes out to people who are losing their homes. We are currently looking for a home to buy and when I view homes with children's rooms that still have touches of their lives it really affects me.

I also, know what it is like to be losing your home and have people to come through and look at your home. When the hitech boom dropped, we were headed for foreclosure and just sold our home in time.

  • A human tragedy to lose one's home. It does'nt finish there, the aftermath of possibly apportioning blame to others or even either spouse, loss of confidence, self esteem, and above all, complete financial loss, affecting any future plans to rehabiltate one's life. The final twist of the knife is when busloads of prospecting buyers tour around these areas of sorrow experiencing a smorgasborg of shattered lives.

  • What a disaster!
