  • @oceandeva I know this is a late reply, but... You're right. The "laughing" type of Kookaburras only sound like they're laughing because of the way their bodies are. (I still have an animated Laughing Kookaburra character that does really laugh out of amusement, but that's just cartoon-like irony)

    Still, having a bird in a cage, I think would be the worst captivity for a bird to be in, considering they can't do what they do best; fly.
