Texans are every bit as American as the rest of us. No more, no less.
If we allow them to bury the heads of their children in the sand, blinding them from the scientific studies and methodologies that have brought humanity this far, they cannot realistically be expected to contribute the furthering of human knowledge.
Intelligent people are born everywhere; if they are allowed to be raised in a region censored by religious filters, they cannot flourish.
Non-belief is not a requirement to be on the far end of either end of the political spectrum, but I agree that TFN is a moderate organization. When members of the religious right label somebody or something as far-left, they use it as an insult, the way other people would call somebody an asshole, not as a serious description of political beliefs.
This video is one of the many that need to be shown in a manner like this one, in order for everyone to realize what a horrible job they are doing of teaching children about the REALITY of sex. Not only do teachers pretend that teens and even children aren't doing these things, but they allow them to do so irresponsibly.
This would be funnier if it weren't based on actual information being taught in Texas schools. It's time we start teaching young people the facts about sex and contraceptives. Keeping our heads buried in the said just won't do. The TFN is doing a great job leading this fight for us in Texas.
I really hope these videos spread to the needed audience in Texas. It's time for a change in our school districts so that our children can become better educated about what's out there in the real world. We need to stop sheltering them from the truth and slowly begin to open their eyes and ears to what they are eventually going to see. When they are exposed, hopefully they will know all there is to know and make the mature and correct decision!
