I have this game, beat it 1 time 100% and 2-3 times not 100% and it does not have much replay value any more.

the region locks are for the dsiware only so it would work with another region's cartridges

If it's a DS Lite, yes. The DSi has region locks, so it won't work on that.

i think you can buy the games on a website where they ship it from japan. i'm not totally sure but if they do i'm getting it!!!
