Carrier Command Walkthrough, ZX Spectrum

This is the longer "Strategy" game, where the islands are unoccupied and the carriers start at opposite ends of the map.

During the first few minutes, the spare Mantas and Walruses can be seen being destroyed. This is essential, as storage space on the carrier is at a premium. This space is needed to store additional fuel, so that the carrier doesn't become stranded between islands.
