Now I know that there is a genius lurking behind every autistic child.

She is amazing. I am so glad she is able to help others. I do think there are some alternatives in the way of supplements and detox therapy that could be of great use :)

My son and his mates do have empathy and theroy of mind. Each person on the spectrum is different. If you have met one person with autism then you have only met one person. Just because some on the spectrum don't have these things doesn't mean they all don't. And these things are things that can be taught and learnt. My son didn't show or get empathy for years. Now his so empathetic he takes things to heart. And they can write or talk about a interest in great detail. Don't be so quick to judge

I just watched Carly on the Drs. It isn't a hoax. Its technology helping people on the spectrum. iPads and apps help them talk. Their own words, feelings, sensativities etc. I have a high functioning son and a low functioning non verbal grandson. Ipad has shown just how smart my grandson is. He spells and writes words. His able to communicate more. My son and his mates may have autism but certainly do talk like this. They are smart funny caring people. I am buying her book.

Mina reflektioner, några minuter in på filmen; tänk så mager, blek och orkeslös man kan bli av gluten och kasein samt hur detta kan påverka förmåga att känna in de små muskelrörelserna och att datorn kompenserar denna funktionsnedsättning, hennes dolda funktionshinder inom området känsel, human haptic perception - the senorimotor input can not have a good function if opioid peptides are in the body!

I believe this story is fake. From fecal smearing to advanced vocabulary?

I'd like to see the twin sister in the room while she is typing - otherwise I believe it is fraud and the twin sister is playing her part. Go to the blog, they are peddling a book.

The lady said she engaged in "fecal smearing".

Thanks, I watched the video. But it only made me more sceptical. She didn't do any of the things I mentioned. The things she typed are far more basic (simple statements about what she likes) then the advanced use of language in this video. And the only time the interviewer asked a question that would be a bit tricky for an autistic person ("why do you like it"), they cut the video off before she finished the answer.

Putting your child in a group home isn't "giving them up." When it comes to their safety and well-being, sometimes it's necessary.
