Mac os X Leopard vs. Windows Vista Home Premium

Apple Macbook 120gb hdd, 2.2Ghz core2duo processor, 1gb ram VS. Dell Inspiron E1505 80gb hdd, 1.6Ghz core duo processor, 1gb ram. Comes to show that Mac is way faster, even though it has a faster processor, the windows is just extremely slow with many errors.

omg XDDD 120gb HD?? thats as much as my 360 has! My asus g50vt-x1 can KILL that thing and i got for less then these over priced macs. 4gb of ram on my asus compared to 1gb?? 2.2Ghz vs 2.27ghz on my asus. Apples fails yet again

Yeah, the funny thing is, is that stupid people don't understand why windows is Pwd all the time. It b/c of this, my 1gb ram and 2.2 would kill your 2.27 w/ 4gb ram. Put linux in it and it would boot quicker and open a few apps quicker than the mac, but with Linux you won't have anything. Just a computer that does garbage. The good part about some like you is people can make stuff like that and sell it to you. Only good thing about yours is that asus makes higher grade than junk like dell.

tellin by the specs the dell runnin vista is weaker so u need to even matched comps but leapord will probvably win but i hav a question does leapord have all the basics u need like MSN but mac version or is there msn that works on mac os

There is MSN messenger for mac. Also I just made a video of what I had available. I can guarantee though that Windows would still loose with same specs or even less on the Mac.

sorry to disappoint you but if you had 2 gigs of ram on that laptop with vista it would of run wayyyy waster than that i have 1.8 dual procesors with windows vista home premium 2 gigs of ram and i can tell you it runs FAST i have never encountered an error EVER go ahead mac fans thumb me down i dont care just learn to be happy im happy vista and mac ftw!

I'm happy. I'll admit, Vista is MS's best OS to date, but it is still crappy. Also, putting more ram in the mac will make it faster too, but it just comes to show that windows don't utilize it very good. I could have 512mb in the mac and be fine just slightly slower. But it you half it down to 512 with windows, it will be WAY slower with WAY more errors. What was once said about macs "Made by Humans, for Humans" holds true to this date.

Install Vista on your Mac. You'll be surprised when you discover that IT IS ACTUALLY FASTER than Mac OSX.

Anyway, how dare you compare an inferior machine to your mac, for the price of the mac you could have a PC twice as powerful!

Really bad comparison. Maybe use boot camp instead next time? That way you can test it on the SAME computer. Windows Vista is really fast for me. It starts up in like 25 seconds for me to the login screen. And, my computer is average.

It is cheaper because of all the companies that payed to have their trial software on your newly bought computer. Macintosh doesn't have any trial software when you buy it.

The thing about old people, if they want to use a computer it is easier to use a mac since it is very simple. To get used to a Mac you can just watch the guided tours online for about everything u need.

TO THE UPLOADER

1. Are these computers brand new? The start up time depends on how much free space and desktop space you have. If not, then obviously one doesn't stand a chance.

2. For the iMac, there is an auto log in, but for the vista there was. That wasn't so fair.

Guys, its no argument that a mac is the vista vista wants to be and more.

However think bout it.

All the mums and dads and old people out there probably know nothing about computers, more know nothing then most of them.

So this is 2 sentences spoken by them.

"Macs too expensive its ONLY(no its not stupid) a computer"

"Ooh Poodows is cheap ill buy it!"

Thats why computer beats a mac, by an unfair advantage.

It is a fact that Mac's will run fast with lesser hardware, because they are more efficient when it comes to running the OS. It takes a fuckload to run vista and its crappiness.

You can't compare Mac to a pc because apple is just smart... you pay for what you get. I payed 2400$ for my mac, and i've had it for 3.5 years, and it's fucking still kicking all of those piece of shit PC's coming out with quad core 4 gig of useless ram that some software wont even use. The shit way out is PC. Viva Mac
