Here we see the return leg of NENTA train tours Anglo Scotsman at Hensall in misty and rather dreary conditions. The outward leg was photographed by me at York in the morning in much Brighter conditions. Those photo's can be seen on my Flickr page. Anyway here we see the 47 giving it some handle up the Hensall incline!

  • As far as I am aware no peaks are mainline at the minute, there was one mainline just a few years back at the minute no, I don't think so. My favs include 47's 37's HST's 31's 60's and of course Deltics. Thanks for the comment.

  • nice catch, my top three diesels no1, deltic, no2, class 47 , no 3 class 45/46, its good to see a few class 47s doing railtours, mind i think we are a bit short on class 45s at the min, do you know of any mainlined, thanks
