Time Eater...done RIGHT [Sonic Generations] [Final boss spoilers]

I'm going to be honest here:

The Final Boss of Sonic Generations is TERRIBLE.

Clunky gameplay, boring music, annoying team-mates who seem constantly surprised that *GASP!* a homing shot is coming towards Sonic and so on. It's as if everything they learned from Unleashed onwards had been cast aside in favour of creating a boss using the Sonic 06 blueprints.

However, by simply muting the in-game music and replacing the Time Eater theme with Crush 40's cover of "Sonic Boom", all its flaws seem to instantly melt away. Suddenly one of the worst Final Bosses in Sonic's history becomes one of its most enjoyable.

This is the Time Eater done RIGHT!

So you can change the music manually, too (meaning using music that's not provided through the unlocks)? So tell me: How come no one's done Solaris Phase 1 and 2 yet?

Wait, did you replace a song file or are you just playing it over the muted audio? Because it aligns really, REALLY well if it's just being played from a music player or something. It's crazy how perfect that song works.

@SoundNinjaSA2 Muted the audio via the options, spliced in the mp3. And yeah, it's crazy how well it fits, from the boss's titlecard to all of its attacks. It's like this actually WAS meant to be the final boss theme, but they removed it at the last second.

I used the Stardust Speedway US remix in this fight, but Crush 40's Sonic Boom seems to make it EPIC!

The 3DS version of this boss is actually pretty fun, in my opinion. Except for those damn clocks, I hate those things...

Overall, I MAY actually prefer the 3DS version of this game to the Console.
