Adobe Premiere Pro Cs3 or Final Cut Pro. Easily a couple of the best. Sony Vegas is good but people get too flashy with that so go for one of the top two.

What? Are you saying you cant make a movie with an HD camcorder? Those things are awesome. They hang in quality with cams that are ten times as much. What did you mean by the camera might be "undertuned". Are you speaking of personal preference or that you feel HD cams arent good enough? There are other ways to make up for any abilities a hd cam might not have.
