any tips for unlocking a 960t with the 970 extreme3? mobo sees the cpu as "amd processor model unknown" when i turn on UCC and windows won't boot >.>
i've overclocked it to 4ghz no problem, unlocking seems to be a pain

@MrDocToto Cool n Quiet kicking in, thats when the CPU is not doing nything intensive, it drops the speed to keep energy use and temperature down ^^
In normal cases, it is not possible to use or unlock any of those hidden cores because originally those cores were disabled: a technique called "chip harvesting" or "feature binning" used by AMD to sell parts with one or two defective cores which will cause system instability if not disabled.

i have
ASROCK N68-S3 UCC
and
AMD Athlon ii x2 250 3.01Gzh
when i enable and save settings,and start up pc it is same!Nothing change!
