toothbrush rugs: Me and my mother planning out the colors for a very unusual rug... the "un"rug

This is not the sort of rug I normally make... everything about it- the colors, the width of strips, etc., is different than what I usually do.

It did serve as a good demonstration of what goes through my mind as I plan a rug, especially since my dear mother helped me in the process.

I remember that my Grandmother was making these rugs with crochetin hook. I tried make it too, but I still cant find how many extra stiches she was adding in each and every row :)
