A snippet from Kevin Secours' seminar on "Sticks and Kicks" at Peter Aftanas' Sydney Combat Systema club in Australia, filmed in the fall of 2010. Discusses the importance of evasion versus deflection, density, stretching the base, strike absorption and illustrates asymmetrical progressions towards moderate contact.

  • Quick question, this book I'm reading on Systema (by Giuseppe Filotto) says to completely relax when struck.. when you were getting kicked were you just completely relaxed or did you tense at any point? I couldnt tell..

  • "I love you!" Hilarious!

    Excellent video, thanks for sharing!

  • Great work!

  • I think the reason why kevin's insruction is of such quality is because he has a backround in education. Most martial art/self defense instructors, while being highly gifted personally, fall short in the ability to convey that information to the students. This is why I own all of his dvd's. This is also why I wish I had someone of his teaching caliber in my general vicinity.

  • Baaaaaaaaaaaaam!

  • brillant...as usual, can't wait for some new dvd's!

  • OMG, love the hard fast pace work and drill.i would usually complain about soft work but this type of work and speed represents what would occur in reality.excellent work KEVIN

  • Kevin is fucking awesome

  • @systemacanada Laughing out very loud!!! Imagining you with a broadsword and furs up there prowling through that snowy Montreal winter :) Its in the 30s down here.

Have a great Christmas. I got Primal Power 2 so I was very pleased. I'm looking forward to the magnum opus I hear you're putting together. My birthday's in March so sometime before then would be great :)
