@SavageReb72 How have they lost there way because they released a concept album? This album isn't dealing with other religions it was based off a screenplay that was never made into a movie. I think this album does a great job of inspiring hope seeing as its about one mans struggles to go and find a cure for a poison affecting all the children on his world. Maybe you should learn what the message is before judging it.

I have now listened to this album for a year since it's release. The music is there, the message is not. There is another band from Portland, Oregon who has been successful and not lost their way when it comes to preaching the message of Jesus Christ....KUTLESS. All of their albums rock and talk about Christ, dealing with struggles in life, and standing up for the faith. You guys need to get back to what made me and so many other love you and your music. A message of hope through Christ.

I love this album! Is so much better than the last one. Is so mature and songs are so not random in tone. It's such a shame that they're not playing any gigs in EU :(

It's not that "Fangs!" is a bad album; it's just unexpected. It's not the "mosh-able" music that many fans had come to expect.
The amusing thing is that "Fangs!" really isn't too different from their previous albums. If you read the lyrics for the first 4 albums, they frequently allude to the "Fangs!" story. "Fangs!" is the "Aha!" moment when Jesse reveals the story he had been telling the whole time.
FYI: "Fangs!" is one of my favorite albums of all time :-).
I can't believe that some people don't like this album...maybe I'm just a nerd, but goodness, I like the conceptual album and the visual that each song creates. I mean, 'The King's Garden' is sooo beautiful, and he sings it perfect. I have never heard Falling Up until this album, and I like it because its thoughtful, and well executed. I hope they always make music like this, music that just continues to morph and transform and create mindscapes that have artistic and encapsulating undertones.
